Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT N4) is an elementary-level qualification of the internationally recognized JLPT exam, designed for learners who have a basic understanding of Japanese. It evaluates the ability to read and comprehend everyday texts, understand essential vocabulary and grammar, and follow conversations spoken at a natural but slightly slower pace. At this level, learners can handle common daily situations and communicate with a reasonable level of confidence. Achieving JLPT N4 indicates a solid intermediate foundation and readiness to progress to higher levels of Japanese proficiency.
