This scholarship programme offers Sri Lankan students the opportunity to study the Japanese language and pursue a caregiver career in Japan under a specialised support system, in collaboration with care institutions in Japan.
01. Requirements (Basic Eligibility):
- Age: 18–30 years old
- Education: G.C.E. A/L (Passed any stream)
- Language: JLPT N4
- Health: Physically and mentally fit
- Commitment: Willing to complete training and work as a caregiver.
- No Criminal Record

03. Step-by-Step Programme Process:
Step 1: Application & Interview
- Submit documents and fill out the application form at Saku Japanese Language School
- Face a basic screening interview
Step 2: Visa & Documentation
- Saku assists with preparing and submitting the required documents for the Student Visa
- COE (Certificate of Eligibility) processing with Japan Immigration
Step 3: Departure to Japan
- Travel to Japan under a student visa and caregiver scholarship
track - Join a partner Japanese language school or caregiver institution
Step 4: Training & Part-Time Work
- Continued language study
- Start part-time work in caregiver facilities
- Caregiver-specific training included
Step 5: Full-Time Employment in Japan
- After reaching the required language level and training, convert to a Care Worker Work Visa
- Begin full-time work at partnered care homes or hospitals
Step 6: Long-Term Career Path
- Opportunity to extend visa, apply for permanent residence, or bring family later
- Continued support and follow-up from Saku and partner institutions.
